According to Wechat Official Account @ES-info, on April 10th, the commencement ceremony for the main body and line engineering of the Huaneng Huashan 200MW/400MWh shared energy storage project was held.
The project is located in Zhanyi District, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. The project has a total of 40 energy storage units, each with a capacity of 5MW/10MWh. These units are divided into 8 energy storage subsystems, with each subsystem consisting of 5 energy storage units and having a capacity of 25MW/50MWh. Each energy storage subsystem is connected to the 35kV busbar of the energy storage booster station via 35kV cables. This project includes the construction of a 220kV booster station, planned to be connected in a "π" configuration to the 220kV Lingjiao-Huashan transformer substation's 220kV line with a cable length of approximately 2×0.35km. Upon completion, the project will significantly enhance the region's capacity to absorb clean energy and will play a demonstrative and leading role in accelerating the green and low-carbon development process and implementing the "dual carbon" goals.
On April 11th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Wanliyang Gaoming independent energy storage project, located in the Xijiang Industrial New City of Gaoming District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, was held.
The project covers an area of 38 mu (approximately 6.3 acres) with a total investment of 800 million yuan and plans to construct a 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage power station. The project is invested and constructed by Zhejiang Wanliyang Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and will be built into an important hub for power frequency regulation and peak shaving in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The project adopts electrochemical energy storage technology with functions such as rapid frequency regulation, reactive power compensation, and black start power supply, building a "super charging bank" type energy storage system to effectively alleviate regional power grid pressure and improve power supply reliability. Upon reaching full production capacity, the project is expected to have an annual output value of 180 million yuan, effectively promoting the safe, reliable, and green development of the power system in Xijiang Industrial New City and even Gaoming District.
