According to BJX.COM, on March 15, the signing ceremony for the Zero Carbon City Strategic Cooperation and Dongying CATL Zero Carbon Industrial Park Project between Dongying Municipal People's Government and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited was held in Jinan.

At the signing ceremony, Dongying Municipal Government and CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement to build a zero-carbon city, Dongying Municipal Government, Shengli Petroleum Administration Co., Ltd, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Ningde Times signed a cooperation agreement on zero-carbon application scenarios, Kenli District Government signed a Lithium Battery Green Wisdom Manufacturing Base Investment Agreement with CATL, and the relevant enterprises signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on New Energyization of Industry.

According to the agreement, the signing parties will carry out in-depth cooperation around building a zero-carbon city, developing zero-carbon application scenarios, constructing a lithium battery green manufacturing base and industrial new energy, etc., and jointly build the first leading and exemplary zero-carbon industrial park with a high proportion of green energy supply in the country, build a 40GWh lithium battery green manufacturing project in Kenli District in the first phase and carry out the second phase of the project in due course to create a green industrial cluster of the whole chain of lithium battery to stimulate green and sustainable growth momentum. The first phase of the project will build a 40GWh lithium battery green smart manufacturing project in Kenli District, and the second phase of the project will be carried out in due course, so as to build a green industrial cluster for the whole chain of lithium batteries, and to stimulate the new kinetic energy of green sustainable growth.
