2025-01-15 9:52

According to Chuneng.BJX, on January 13, Ukrainian energy company DTEK entered into a partnership with energy storage system integrator Fluence Energy.

Fluence is understood to be supplying DTEK with energy storage systems for the construction of six energy storage power plants spread across multiple locations in Ukraine, with varying capacities up to a total size of 400MWh, enough to power 600,000 households (equivalent to approximately half of the households in Kiev) for two hours. The project, which is scheduled to be completed by October 2025, strengthens the power supply capacity of the Ukrainian grid and is an important part of DTEK's #FightforLight campaign to provide Ukrainians with electricity under extreme war conditions. The total investment is €140 million, or approximately RMB 1.05 billion. The project will be the largest operational energy storage portfolio in Eastern Europe at the time of commissioning.

Upon delivery of the system, the DTEK and Fluence teams will oversee the installation, configuration, network integration and testing of the system to ensure readiness to support Ukraine's energy needs.DTEK staff will be trained by Fluence as a certified partner for the battery storage system's on-site installation, commissioning, and future maintenance activities, and Fluence and DTEK will work closely together in the future on Ukrainian regional energy storage projects. projects in Ukraine in the future.
