LONGi launched new module Hi-MO X10
2024-10-12 17:18

On October 11, Longi announced the launch of the Hi-MO X10 series of distributed modules with top-notch technology in Shanghai. This series is based on Terra wafers with HPBC2.0 cell technology. There is a module in this series with an efficiency as high as 24.7%, the highest in the world.

Comparing with the other core modules' efficiency as of August this year, the 24.7% module efficiency launched by LONGi has reached the top.

LONGi's Hi-MO X10 series include four main products, including 54 version extreme black, 72 version single glass, 72 version single glass anti-dust accumulation, and 72 version double glass, which are the first to be launched.

LONGi’s latest X10 series new products have four core technologies: HPBC2.0 cell technology, Terra silicon wafer, 0BB technology, and advanced module innovation technology.

HPBC is a new generation of high-efficiency cell technology with the core feature of no grid lines on the front of the cell. This technology can greatly improve the light absorption and photoelectric conversion capabilities of the cell through adjustments to the internal structure and process of the cell, effectively increasing the output power of the component. Longi said today that its HPBC cell efficiency has exceeded 26.6%, which is an epoch-making high-efficiency battery technology.

Lu Yuan revealed that the efficiencyof mass-produced HPBC2.0 cell modules is more than 30 watts higher than that of mainstream products in the industry, achieving a 5% power increase.

LONGi's new modules can not only save the initial cost of a power station by 0.49 yuan per watt under the same net profit, but also increase the net profit by 0.57 yuan per watt under the same initial cost.

Specifically, under the same area, assuming that the power is increased by 30W and the conversion efficiency is increased by 1%, it means that Hi-MO X10 can achieve a higher total profit in 25 years, which is significantly higher than the 25-year total profit of mainstream TOPCon.

Based on the current mainstream version, Hi-MO X10 has a 1% increase in power and conversion efficiency under the same area, which means that Hi-MO X10 can achieve a higher total return on investment, and its IRR is also improved compared to other mainstream technologies.

Not only that, for two photovoltaic power stations under the same conditions, if the mainstream battery module technology is to achieve the same 25-year full investment return rate (IRR=30.71%) as Hi-MO X10, it will be 13.1 times cheaper than Hi-MO X10 per watt. Points can be achieved, and Hi-MO X10 gets a premium of 13.1 points/Wp.
