The project will be operated by the Xiamen Shizheng Energy Storage Technology Research Institute, a subsidiary of CATL, and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2025.
It is known that the energy storage system have "one center and four bases", including R&D centers, large-scale energy storage grid-connected demonstrations, high-voltage fail-safe experiments and other facilities. The total land area of the project is about 150 acres, with a total investment of about 3 billion yuan. After completion, it will be mainly engaged in the demonstration of large-capacity, high-safety and high-reliability large-scale energy storage grid-connected, the development of advanced testing technology and equipment, and the formulation of system-level grid-connected industry standards for high-level energy storage power stations.
According to the data, Xiamen Shizheng Energy Storage Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. was established on January 24, 2024, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of CATL, and will undertake the construction and operation of this important project. The registered capital of the company is 500 million yuan and the legal representative is Chen Xiaobo. The company's business scope covers emerging energy technology research and development, energy storage technology services, engineering and technology research and experimental development and other fields.
