TrendForce learned that on 26 April, Trina Solar released its 2023 annual report. According to the report, during the reporting period, Trina Solar achieved operating revenue of 113.392 billion yuan, an increase of 33.32% year-on-year, and achieved net profit of 5.531 billion yuan, an increase of 50.26% year-on-year.
Benefiting from the worldwide expansion of new energy system changes in recent years, the global energy storage market is also showing a rapid growth trend.
In the energy storage business, Trina Solar covers the overall system solution capabilities of energy storage cells, energy storage battery pods, energy storage converters, household energy storage and integrated intelligent energy management, and meets the changing new needs of customers with full-stack capabilities, with a complete global business-oriented layout, core industry chain layout, R&D platform, product testing centre, and super factory.
According to the report, Trina Solar achieved super-expected growth in power plant project development and sales:
- Wind, solar PV and energy storage project index acquisition exceeded 6.2GW, with a reserve of 8.5GW;
- Distributed business developed steadily and at a high speed, with market share ranking the top two in the whole industry;
- Sales of energy storage modules and systems broke through six regional markets in China, Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Middle East Africa and Latin America, with cumulative shipments of nearly 5GWh.
While continuing to enhance the core competitiveness of the PV module industry, Trina Solar is also actively developing its energy storage business, forming a business development pattern of ‘optical storage integration’.
