Tai Kang Daytime Solar, a subsidiary of AcBel Polytech, announced today that the green power transfer procurement of cloud server supplier Wiwynn had officially begun in early September this year at a total capacity of 21.40 million kWh. 2022 can be regarded as the first year of green power transfer for AcBel Polytech, who also currently serves as the most extensive green power provider in Taiwan.
AcBel Polytech and Wiwynn will accomplish the maximum synergy through a multi-faceted collaboration. The former will first establish PV plants that transfers green power to Wiwynn through Taiwan Power Company’s grid, before assisting the latter with integrating existing environmental control devices and establishing green power visualization systems, which allows the latter to prepare for the constantly rising green power demand in advance whilst growing in business that will continue to shift the company towards the 2050 net-zero emission target.
“Release digital energy and ignite sustainability & innovation” is the vision of Wiynn, who continues to innovate and develop sustainable products, participate in CDP and SBTi, as well as lay down targets in carbon reduction and green power consumption. The partnership with AcBel Polytech this time has laid down the foundation of green power adoption for Wiwynn.
2022 is the first year for AcBel Polytech in green power transfers. The company first transferred green power to the bank industry during early 2022, before marching towards the textile industry during June by partnering with centennial textile giant Freudenberg by transferring 2 million kWh of green power to the latter. Acbel Polytech then moved onto to the property management field during August, and signed a contract with the International Trade Building of the Taipei World Trade Center that consisted of transferring 3 million kWh of green power for the early stage, before annual adjustments according to the demand from the tenants.
AcBel Polytech’s partnership with Wiwynn means that the former had entered the tech industry for the first time during September, and officially transferred green power to the latter. AcBel Polytech has now invested 150MW of total capacity, and sold more than 360 million kWh of total green power transfer, acting as the most extensive green power supplier in Taiwan’s service industry.
