Major conductive paste manufacturer, Ample Electronic Technology, announced today that its March revenue peaked at NT$100 million yuan, an increase of 26.79% MoM and a 29.88% decline YoY. Cumulative revenue in the first three months of this year was NT$283 million, mainly benefiting from the recovery of passive component demand. Ample is optimistic that downstream customers should be able to finish destocking from the beginning of the second quarter, and maintain a cautiously optimistic attitude in operations.
Ample stated, judging from the status of current orders, momentum in capacitors, inductors, and resistors has gradually recovered and demand for replenishing inventory in the terminal market has emerged successively. Overall shipments of silver paste and copper paste in March increased compared with the previous month, there are new customers for passive components and solar energy, and new products used in LED/IC are also steadily shipping.
Ample indicated, from the perspective of industry trends, brisk PC/NB shipments continued, demand for 5G, vehicle, and electric vehicle charging piles was established, the upward inflection point of the passive component boom cycle is approaching, and downstream industry related demand is gradually ramping up. Ample provides customized conductive pastes to help customers produce high-quality products. With the increase in utilization rate of passive components by customers, Ample will benefit simultaneously.
In terms of the solar energy industry, in recent years, the MOEA has vigorously promoted a renewable energy grid connection plan, actively promoted the number of solar energy installations, and pushed up the production capacity of solar energy system factories. Ample's solar-back silver conductive paste is the key material for battery modules used by more than 90% of Taiwan's solar cell factories and is a main supplier of these customers. Ample is expected to continue to benefit from the general trend of the solar industry.
Ample emphasized that it is currently developing new markets for semiconductor and LED packaging and is actively conducting product certification with IC and LED-related manufacturers. At present, this part of the packaging silver paste market is exclusively dominated by German and Japanese manufacturers. Encapsulated conductive silver paste can become Ample's third revenue stream, injecting future earnings momentum.
