The Mercedes Vision AVTR, the most sci-fi prototype concept car, has finally taken the stage. It will be on show at the Mercedes-Benz SPACE in Xinyi District, Taipei starting on Feburary 19. Fans can seize this rare opportunity to witness this crystallization of car technology.
With a scaly bionic chassis, a fully transparent shape, spherical steering without a steering wheel, and innovative multi-directional tires, this is the world's most sci-fi concept car, and will be exhibited in Taipei's Xinyi District starting February 19.
Starting this year, Mercedes-Benz officially announced that it will enter its first year of electrification (Go Electric) in Taiwan. It not only plans to independently plan electric vehicles as a sub-brand Mercedes-EQ but also extend electrification to its other sub-brands Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach in the future. In other words, Mercedes-Benz's car series will all have electric models, creating a series of pure electric cars.
In order to declare the vision of this electrified brand, Taiwan Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz’s German headquarters made great efforts to bring the heavyweight electric concept car VISION AVTR to Taiwan by air. The VISION AVTR, inspired by the movie "Avatar," explores the relationship between human, nature, and machinery. This relationship reflects the brand's imagination of the future and provides the perfect solution for the future of humanity’s living environment.

Mercedes-Benz SPACE, located on B1 of BELLAVITA, has been extended to the atrium on the first floor and a beautiful indoor artificial waterfall has been built. The continuous flowing water is matched with Stonehenge at 6 meters, which symbolizes endless vitality, opening a new chapter for Mercedes-Benz in Taiwan.
Hidden behind the waterfall is a secret entrance, creating a natural scene that integrates the latest technology coming from the future electric concept car VISION AVTR. Standing in the center of the space, the car needs to be connected through a unique awakening ceremony. From awakening, connection to control, the entire process shows Mercedes-Benz unique R&D capabilities. The VISION AVTR electric concept car is based on the ideals of sustainability and bionics. With the help of Mercedes-Benz car manufacturing technology, advanced induction technology, and breakthrough vehicle design, the entire car adopts the One Bow structural chassis, giving the vehicle a transparent smooth appearance. The door is made from one piece of glass and its body is covered a pulsating LED light sources. Combined with the external environment and driving, it flickers like breath.
Different from traditional A-pillars, the VISION AVTR electric concept car is equipped with a semi-circular arc-shaped A-pillar design that combines various colors. There are also electronic elements in the pillars which will flash and echo due to driving and vehicle interaction. The rear of the car is shaped like the creatures in the Pandora movie rainforest, with 33 "Bionic flaps" that can function as solar panels. Depending on interactions with the outside world, it is akin to opening and closing breathing holes, which specifically demonstrates Mercedes-Benz technology and links to the outside environment.

In terms of the cabin space, the driving interface is constructed in 3D and the interior features a T-shaped center console structure. The immersive experience of a large screen is combined with user operations on the center armrest. The driver can put his hand on the sensor in the center armrest to carry out biometric human-machine interface. Once the connection is successful, the console will emit a strong heartbeat, symbolizing the realm of human-vehicle integration.

In the VISION AVTR electric concept car there are innovative tire and torque designs, demonstrating freedom and unrestrained driving dynamics. The vehicle has a side shift of nearly 30 degrees when driving, similar to a "crab-style" of lateral driving. Another technological focus is the user interface. Who says you need a steering wheel to drive? There is no steering wheel in VISION AVTR! In its place is a circular armrest on the center console that senses the driver's pulse and breathing, generates pulses, and steers the vehicle through the armrest.
The VISION AVTR electric concept car uses graphene organic chemical battery technology, is no longer dependent on petroleum, completely eliminates the use of toxic or rare metals, and directly uses 100% recyclable organic battery technology for the first time. In addition, "bionic scales" on the body can convert solar energy into electricity. The battery capacity used in the car is 110kWh, not only fully rechargeable within 15 minutes, but also possesses a cruising range of up to 700 kilometers.
