Net-zero and energy-efficient buildings are growing in popularity. It is estimated that near one-third of new single-family homes in the U.S. will be “green” ones by 2016. The number of net-zero commercial buildings has doubled between 2012 and 2014 as well according to the New Buildings Institute. The trend is expected to continue partly because solar power has become more reliable, accessible and affordable.
Targeting at this trend, SunPower is introducing its integrated solar power solutions for the future net-zero houses.

SunPower offers fully-integrated solar solution for its customers to choose by their own needs. At the Greedbuild expo in Washington D.C., the company unveiled a new solution SunPower® Signature™ Black high efficiency solar panels with built-in mircoinverters.
The Signature Black allows for installations across different roof types and orientations. The proprietary low-profile mounting hardware gives the system a sleek, floating appearance. In addition, a special-programmed software helps track energy production and consumption, with built-in Smart Energy technology to set energy and savings goals The new solution delivers 70% more energy than conventional panels in the same amount of roof space, and energy management software that enables homeowners to set goals and take control of their energy future.
