Coronal Group LLC (Coronal) and Panasonic Eco Solutions (Panasonic) has together completed the Lost Hills Solar Project and commenced operating. The PV panels are mounted on horizontal-axis trackers that rotate with the sun’s position so the power generation could be maximized.

Covering a land of approximately 220 acre, the Lost Hills Solar Project locates near Lost Hills, California. The project, built by Panasonic and Swinerton Builders, is estimated to generate 54,620MWh of solar electricity, offsetting CO2 emission which is equivalent to 8,000 cars on the road. The electricity generated from Hills Solar Project will be enough for approximately 5,200 Southern California homes.

Electricity generated by the plant will be sold to Southern California Edison (SCE) through a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement. In addition, this project contributes to SCE's fulfillment of California's Renewable Portfolio Standard requirements.

"The successful, on-time completion of the Lost Hills project is further proof of both the success of our platform and of growing interest among utility companies to transition projects to the Coronal-Panasonic team to complete and manage," said Jonathan Jaffrey, CEO of Coronal. "Together with Panasonic we now own and operate a portfolio of solar facilities in North America totaling nearly 100 MW."
