CWP’s Two PV Power Plants Commence Power Generation

China WindPower Group Limited (CWP) is pleased announced that two new PV power plants commenced power generation on 23 December 2014. The two new PV power plants are respectively located at Nêdong County, Tibet and Indiana, USA.

Nêdong County, Tibet project with installed capacity of 20MW is located on the highest part in China. The region enjoys one of the richest sunshine in the world. The expected power generation hours of this project is approximately 1,918h in the first year and the tariff is RMB1.15/kWh. The other project is located in Indiana, USA with installed capacity of 11.1MW. It is the largest distributed PV power plant in Indiana. The estimated power generation hours of this project is approximately 1,351h in the first year.

CWP has attained abundant light reserves in areas with light rich and quality resources since 2011, the year that CWP entered into PV power generation business. This has allowed CWP attributable installed capacity of PV power plants growth rapidly. The operation commencement of the two PV power plants marked CWP’s strategies on investing quality PV power plant projects in line with Chinese Government’s PV industry support policies.
