While PV prices remained flat recently, total shipment increased, according to PV producers. It is expected that sales revenue in November will continue to reflect an uptrend for Taiwan manufacturers, such as Gintech, Solartech, Tainergy, and Giga Solar, etc.
Gintech and Solartech will have great sales potential in November because of the base-year adjustment. The postponed shipments from the previous month will be added onto their total shipment in November. In October, Solartech’s consolidated revenue was NT$650 million and it’s likely to exceed NT$700 million in November due to the postponed shipments and new orders.
PV cell will still be Gintech’s primary business. Meanwhile, Utech’s wafer is running at full capacity. As for module, the module capacity of Gintung, which is invested by both Gintech and GET, was 240MW before the expansion. It will almost reach 320MW in December after the expansion.
Supply shortage remained at Tainergy's Kunshan factory. However, as its outsourcing continues, Tainergy’s sales revenue may grow, leading to serious uptick in November. In addition, Tainergy’s plan to build production sites in Vietnam will be activated by the end of the year or next January. Yet, Tainergy’s sales revenue in December may decrease because sales from Europe represent 20%-30% of Tainergy’s total revenue and thanksgiving/Christmas holidays are approaching.
