REC Showcases Its Made-in-Singapore Solar Panels at Singapore International Energy Week
2014-10-29 11:37

REC is exhibiting at the annual week-long Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW). At the exhibition, REC will be presenting its unique and long-term peace of mind approach through its cooperation with Sika and Centroplan. In addition, visitors can look forward to the Asian debut of REC’s TwinPeak Series in Singapore.

The global roofing industry is evolving to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly roof systems that work in conjunction with solar panel installations. As a solar energy solutions provider, REC is nimble in responding to industry needs. Visitors to the exhibition will learn about REC’s unique offering for mounting its PID-free solar panels on a membrane roof. The system comes with a combined warranty of up to twenty years over the roof, mounting system and solar panels. With this integrated solution, REC offers its customers with peace of mind and reinforces the company’s commitment to quality at every stage of solar energy projects.

For rooftop solar systems, it is vital to ensure the installation is planned, certified and completed by professionals to uphold the waterproofing conditions and warranty of the roof. Sika AG is a global developer and producer of materials for the construction industry who focuses on roofing products and systems like flexible sheet and liquid-applied membranes, and lightweight mounting systems for solar panel installation on flat roofs covered by Sika membrane. Centroplan GmbH, in addition, specializes in roof-mounted systems, and also offers mounting systems as well as planning services for projects throughout Europe for solar panel installations on the roofs of industrial properties.

Barry Aryanasvara, Vice President for Asia Pacific at REC said, “Through our partnership with companies who have the expertise in roofing construction capabilities, REC is offering our commercial and industrial customers in Singapore with a seamless warranty that extends up to 20 years.” He added, “REC is also delighted to showcase our TwinPeak Series panels during the Energy Week.”

REC’s high-performance TwinPeak Series Solar Panels are rated up to 275 watt peak (Wp) resulting in 17% panel efficiency and targets rooftops in the growing residential, commercial, and industrial markets globally. Based on an innovative design that provides more power output per square meter, the new panel features 120 half-cut multicrystalline cells, four bus bars, passivated emitter rear cell (PERC) technology, and a split junction box. Together, these technologies enhance power output by around 10 Wp per panel. All REC’s panels are free from PID and manufactured at the company’s vertically integrated and fully automated production facility in Tuas Singapore.
