Woodside Homes and SolarCity to Offer Solar on All New Communities in Nevada
2014-06-26 10:36

Woodside Homes and SolarCity have partnered to offer solar power for all new Woodside Homes communities in Nevada including the new La Jolla at Tierra Santa community in North Las Vegas. Their arrangement makes it possible for homebuyers to pay less for solar electricity than they pay for utility bills. In fact, Woodside Homes is the first homebuilder in Nevada to provide solar under SolarCity’s new program that allows buyers to enjoy the benefits of solar with no upfront costs or increase in the purchase price of the home.

Woodside Homes’ La Jolla at Tierra Santa community features more than 120 homes with solar standard as well as options for ENERGY STAR-certified appliances, tank-less water heaters, Low-E windows, and a variety of additional energy efficient amenities. Woodside Homes’ sustainable features are not only friendly to the environment, but also to homebuyers’ pocketbooks. Solar power from SolarCity alone can save a homeowner up to tens of thousands of dollars off utility bills over time, and additional efficiency measures mean homeowners can take advantage of more clean solar energy.

“We’re proud to offer a way for our homeowners to use clean, affordable energy – and be the first in Nevada with SolarCity to provide those benefits without any upfront costs,” said Susan Allen, Director of Marketing and Sales for Woodside Homes Nevada. “Our unique homes are green by design, and solar power is a great way to make homes more sustainable.”

Additional communities offering solar from Woodside Homes Nevada include Belmonte, Castille at Andorra, Cielo de Estrellas and Cielo de Oro in Summerlin; Emerson @ Providence and Stetson Trails in Las Vegas. SolarCity and Woodside Homes also offer solar options in Arizona and California.
