IHS Automotive, the leading provider of comprehensive content, expertise and insight on the global automotive industry, is to provide Cenex, the UK’s Centre of Excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies, with analysis into the evolving Hybrid Electric Vehicle/Electric Vehicle and alternative propulsion economy.

Under the agreement with Cenex, IHS Automotive experts will present on HEV/EV developments at the Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) Event (www.cenex-lcv.co.uk), Sept. 4-5, 2013 at Millbrook Proving Ground, demonstrating the expertise from the IHS Automotive Alternative Propulsion Forecast and Hybrid-EV.com. IHS and Cenex have also agreed to collaborate on future projects, concerning the UK’s EV infrastructure rollout.

The aim of Cenex is to support the UK industry in building a competitive advantage based on national leadership in the global shift to a low carbon economy. By encouraging the early market adoption of low carbon and fuel cell technologies in automotive applications, Cenex aims to assist the UK industry to develop a supply chain capable of competing in global markets, as well as showcasing UK expertise to encourage inward investment.

LCV2013 plays a significant part in this process. “We at IHS Automotive are delighted to be working with Cenex as an information and insight partner for LCV2013 and beyond”, said Ben Scott, Analyst, IHS Automotive. “Cenex is playing a vital role in the UK’s low carbon future and we look forward to offering our in-depth knowledge, expertise and services.”
