Hanwha SolarOne, a global provider of photovoltaic (PV) modules and a flagship company of the top-10 Korean business enterprise Hanwha Group, proudly announces its cooperation with the Italian association Assoimprese (Associazione Industriali Piccole e Medie Imprese Nazionali). Assoimprese offers industry know-how, technology and expertise to 600,000 small and medium-sized businesses from various industry branches. The association is now expanding its portfolio to include PV modules and designated Hanwha SolarOne as the preferred supplier. The modules will be available at special rates for all Italian installers who are part of the network.
Assoimprese has signed a two-year contract with Hanwha SolarOne which is expected to be extended in the future. As a first step Assoimprese has purchased poly-crystalline Hanwha SolarOne modules with a total volume of 47 Megawatt for 2012. The installers who are members of Assoimprese can now profit from the association's expertise as well as special rates and buy the preselected modules from the association directly instead of purchasing through a distributor.
The President of Assoimprese, Giovanni Mondelli, is very pleased with the partnership: "Due to our cooperation with Hanwha SolarOne we can now offer attractive price conditions for all solar installers that belong to the Assoimprese network. The partnership with the global solar provider is part of our overall strategy to create synergies with a variety of business sectors in order to further improve our service range and quality."
Hanwha SolarOne is strongly committed to the Italian market and has just opened a new office in Milan city center where it is currently ramping up its Italian operation through an aggressive nationwide hiring plan across sales, marketing, finance services, logistics and more. In addition Hanwha Solar is raising its brand awareness as official solar energy supplier which just won Serie A, Italian professional football league. The cooperation agreement with Assoimprese is a further demonstration of Hanwha SolarOne's long-term commitment to the Italian PV market.
Andreas Liebheit, Vice President and Managing Director of Hanwha SolarOne, states that the partnership with Assoimprese "represents a unique constellation that we are excited to be a part of. For us the cooperation results in wider access to the Italian market in residential as well as commercial segments." Liebheit further emphasizes: "By picking Hanwha SolarOne modules for its members Assoimprese demonstrates strong trust in our products and we are looking forward to displaying our quality in new projects throughout Italy in the years to come."
