First installation of the REC Peak Energy Series connected to the grid. The first commercial product from one of the world`s largest integrated solar manufacturing facilities, provides an average increase of nine watts per module and is nominated for the Intersolar Award.

REC is participating in Intersolar Europe, taking place in the world’s largest exhibition for the solar industry from 9th-11th June 2010 in Munich, Germany. The company will be present with a stand at the event considered the international exhibition for solar technology.

“REC is excited that the REC Peak Energy Series is nominated for the Intersolar Award and is pleased to announce the first installation of the module in Germany”, said John Andersen, Jr., Executive Vice President REC Solar and Group Chief Operating Officer. John Andersen Jr. participated in the CEO Panel for the PV Industry and Dr. Erik Sauar, CTO, REC Group made two presentations on PV technology as part of the Intersolar Conference on June 8th.

The REC Peak Energy Module was selected as one of the ten best entries for the Intersolar Award 2010 in the photovoltaic products category. The award is given by Intersolar Europe to recognize groundbreaking photovoltaic products and services. The module will be presented in the Innovation Exchange at Intersolar on June 10th by Åsmund Fodstad, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, REC Solar.

The REC Peak Energy Module is the first commercial product to be produced at REC’s new manufacturing facility in Singapore.
